Poor-quality cat litter: an invisible threat to cat health

Poor-quality cat litter often contains excessive dust, which is easy for cats to inhale into their respiratory tract when going to the toilet. In the long run, it may cause asthma or chronic rhinitis, especially for kittens and elderly cats. After the dust adheres to the hair and is licked into the digestive tract, it will also increase the burden on the stomach and intestines.

Cat litter with poor clumping properties is difficult to wrap excrement, and the residual odor not only makes cats reject the use of the litter box, but also breeds bacteria. Some cats choose to defecate outside the litter box because they dislike the touch of wet and sticky feet, causing hygiene problems and conflicts between people and pets.

Cat litter with added inferior fragrances will over-stimulate the cat's keen sense of smell. After the natural excretion pheromone is masked by chemical odor, it may interfere with the cat's habit of establishing a sense of security through scent marking, leading to anxiety, frequent digging of litter, and even aggressive behavior.

Long-term use of inferior cat litter will gradually disintegrate the cat's toilet habits, and in severe cases may induce diseases such as urinary tract infections. Choosing low-dust, fragrance-free, and stable-clumping cat litter is a respect for the cat's physiological needs and evolutionary instincts.
